How to Fake a Computer Freeze
We’ve all had our maddening moments when it comes to modern technology. But it’s always funnier when it happens to someone else! Here’s one way to make a mark feel like smashing their machine into megabits...
On a Mac: When the victim is away from their computer, hit “command/shift/3” to take a picture of the screen (it will then be saved to the desktop). Next, set the photo to be the desktop wallpaper and hide all the other icons. Then, when the unsuspecting sucker comes back, try to stifle your giggles as they click away in vain on what they think is their actual desktop!
On a PC: Again, wait for the right time, then do a "Print Screen" of the user's desktop, paste the image from the clipboard to a photo program, and save it as a bitmap. Hide the icons in a folder and set them discreetly to the corner. Then follow instructions as above. Laughs sound the same in any computer language.
How to cover your butt: If you get caught, just say you were checking their hard drive for bugs...but all you found was a mouse.
