I Headbutted My Crush!

I've liked this girl named Katherine forever. So when she asked me to come to her birthday party, I was soooo psyched! And really nervous.When I got to the party, everything was going great, and we were having a lot of fun playing games, including (of course) Spin the Bottle. My big chance!
After a few spins, the bottle came to me. I took a deep breath and spun it, and prayed as the bottle slowed down. Lucky enough, it landed on Katherine!
I leaned in for my smooch, closing my eyes. But as I inched towards her face, Katherine's mom came down the stairs with the cake.
Katherine turned quickly, but I didn't realize it in time... and I ended up headbutting her!
She screamed in pain, and her mom dropped the cake and ran over to her as a little cut opened up above her eyelid.
I felt horrible! Guess I can kiss any chances with Katherine goodbye.
