I Made Out With My Crush's Cat!

I was really pumped last month when I got an invitation to my crush Andy's birthday party. I got him a great gift, picked out my outfit, and planned on really impressing him.Finally, the night of the party came! I was having fun, but was really nervous. Should I make my move? I couldn't decide!
Then, someone suggested we play spin the bottle. Perfect!
We sat around in a circle, and a few people spun and kissed. Then, it was my turn. I spun the bottle, and it pointed to... Andy's cat Mr. Whiskers, who was sitting next to him! Everyone laughed, and insisted I kiss the cat!
I wanted to be funny, so I decided to pucker up and smooch the little kitty. But instead of getting laughs, everyone yelled, "Ewww!" And when I was done, Andy was totally grossed out!
Guess I took the joke too far. But did everyone have to be so catty about it? Me-ow.
