I Tripped My Crush's Granny!

I've had a crush on a girl named Jamie for a long time, and I finally asked her out last month.We had hung out a few times (and even snuck a kiss or two!) when Jamie asked me to have dinner at her house. It's one thing impressing a girl – how was I going to impress her whole family?!
I showed up, and introduced myself to her parents and sister and grandma, who was over for dinner, too. I tried to be charming, and it was working. Well, except for her grandma, but I figured she was just old and cranky.
The table was really crowded so I had my legs sticking out to the side – they wouldn't fit otherwise! In the middle of dinner, her grandma got up to go to the bathroom. She was sitting far away, so I wasn't paying attention. But as she was about to walk past me, she flopped to the floor!
Everyone screamed, and when she got up, she pointed at me and said I tripped her!
After spending a few minutes trying to explain, her grandma still wasn't satisfied, and they kicked me out of the house. Thanks, granny!
