Library Banning "Breaking" Dawn?
We've always known school bites — and now they're sucking the fun out of bloodsucking!
A total lame-o parent in the Salt Lake City, Utah area complained to her kid's junior high school because she found some stuff in the fourth Twilight book, Breaking Dawn, inappropriate. [Click here for the story] Uhh, could you just not handle the awesome, mom?
So the school in question decided not to put the book on the library shelves – pretty much banning the fourth book in the Twilight saga. (Ironic since author Stephenie Meyer is a Mormon and Utah is a Mormon-heavy state.)
But how will anyone knows what happened to Bella and the Cullens?!
"I know some of the elementary school librarians keep it behind the counter. That way, they can ensure that the parent approves of the child checking it out," said one local school official. Yeah... thanks for that!
We think this is totally ridiculous, and if you do too, sign the petition in the comments section and send it to your friends!

Look there is nothing wrong with this book!!!!! Sure there are some bad parts but, it doesn't go into much detial. I've read the book 20 times. You got a problem!!!!

thats what my school does, they keep the first 3 on the shelves but then breaking dawn is behind the counter, stupid!
all the elem schools in and around my district dont have it and the middle school doesnt have only the local and high school library- im in 6th grade and im reading breaking dawn - im almost done!!!!

poor kids at that school!! i would egg that mom's house and graffiti the breaking dawn cover on all of her doors and windows. that's my fave book! i would be soooo embarassed if my mom did that

It's not rediculous, Breaking Dawn is very inappropriate for elementary school children
we only have till eclipse......
In my school, only 8th graders can take it out, unless your a 6 or 7 grader, and you come in with a note from parents

I don't really care bcause I don't care if CAN'T REad it. Well I could but my mom blocks off some parts like she did in eclipse. And my bff brought her copies to school a long time ago and it was like the 1st parts of it and I saw massive head and my friend was laughing how I could find it so quickly and how I just saw that.

my teacher let me borrow her copy of Breaking Dawn because when I read it, it was really popular so I couldn`t find it ANYWHERE. And then my mom found it (after I finished reading it) so she bought it and then she read the series, so.. I don`t think it should be banned

my mom read breaking dawn, so, yeah, it happened to my school. Even though it curses in New Moon, Eclipse, and a tad bit in Twilight. They had all the books (OMG, that mom sucks @$$ for reporting it! What's her probo?) except for Breaking dawn, and then my mom signed it and LOL, the libarian CALLED my mom to ask if she sighed it! Then they completely removed it because kids were telling everyone who couldn't read it about what its about. So then my BFF started a signing to make every kid (600 kids!) sign it. It got signed, and the public was allowed to read it if their mom told the school they could, so they had a clip bored of the names of the kids who could read it!! ROCKIN', cuz i was on it!
