After crushing on this guy named Sam for a whole year, I was so excited when he asked me to come over and hang out!
Things were going really well. We watched a couple of movies, and it looked like he certainly wouldn't mind a kiss or two.
I excused myself to go to the bathroom to fix my makeup (and pop a breath mint) for the big moment.
Then, when I was ready, I came back into the dark room, and THOUGHT I spotted Sam on the couch as I was about to make my move.
I went to smooch Sam and the person kissed back...but it WASN'T SAM!!!
Turns out my crush had gone to get snacks in the kitchen, and his brother had plopped down on the couch to watch TV without us knowing.
When the REAL Sam came in and turned on the lights, he saw his brother totally trying to smooch me!
I tried to explain that I got confused — and I THINK Sam believed me (otherwise he thinks I'm a total perv). But it definitely killed the mood.
Let's just say I'll watch where my lips are going next time.
