My Dad Was a Peeping Tom

My dad is really sweet, but he doesn't trust any of the guys I go out with. Whenever I bring a crush home, he always grills them with a whole bunch of embarrassing questions.
One night, this guy named Devon came over. He was a total sweetie, but my dad kept eyeing him suspiciously. After Devon survived the initial interrogation ("What are your plans with my daughter?" "Do you drink?" "Do you smoke?"), we went up to my room to watch TV. Any plans for privacy, though, went right out the window...literally.
Since I locked my door, my dad decided to climb up a ladder and check in on us from the window of my room! I didn't know he was there until Devon pointed out that he thought a burglar was trying to break in. I screamed, which freaked out my dad so much, he fell off the ladder and hurt his back.
I felt bad for getting him injured, but now at least he learned a lesson: Don't spy when I'm with a guy!
You... And A Boy. In the same room together. Not to Mention... Doors locked. Not a very good Idea. Anything could happen... I believe your parents should of set some ground rules about that. Your dad had the right Mind. He is just trying to keep you from ending up with a watermelon in your stomach. That is coming from an 12 year old... With a boyfriend. And I understand. I'm never gonna be alone with him... IN MY ROOM. Till I'm 16. I Respect that Too!

I totally agree with QueenBee96. Dad's just want to protect their little girls but they need to know, we grow up. And they need to too. I'd like to atleast go to my boyfriends house, but my dad thinks i'm not old enough. I'm 13 for cryin' out loud! Do they not trust or about anything??
