"Twilight" The Anime Series?

We draw Edward, Bella and the rest of the gang in our notebook all the time, but this news has REALLY got us animated!

An advanced copy of the Twilight DVD just arrived in the mail (jealous?), and we got to listen to this exchange between director Catherine Hardwicke and Robert Pattinson during the audio commentary.

ROBERT: I look Asian in this scene. I do, I look like an anime character.

CATHERINE: Hey, I think there's going to be an anime version of this in Japan. So you will be an anime character.

Holy Yu-Gi-Oh! Now anime Edward might be cool. But would they have to change the "Twilight" plot to appeal to fans of other hit Japanese cartoons? Here are some suggestions:

- Edward (who's already a crazy driver) paints the number five on his silver Volvo and becomes Speed Cullen.

- Bella: Regular girl by day, famous trainer of Pokewerewolves by night.

- The Cullens transform into vehicles that ALSO link together to form one big giant vampire. James and Victoria poop their pants.
