The Ugly Betty star doesn't have such pretty things to say about teen shows on TV in the new issue of Seventeen.
"Like, if you're watching The Hills or 90210, all the backstabbing shapes the way we act – you go to school, and you think your job is to find a sworn enemy and be jealous of each other," she tells the mag.
"I mean, I love Blake [Lively, her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-star]; she's a wonderful friend of mine, but shows like Gossip Girl kind of condition us to be mean."

Not saying i hate america ferrera or anything but just because gossip girl is all about backstabbing there is good in it too because in the end the charaters apologiza to each other and all is forgiven and your been a damn hypocrite because ugly betty has some backstabbing too!

i think she is right. Half of the girls who watch this show are in middle school and they believe this is real life. They go on acting like this in school and become like the girls on the show. They dress like them and they dress inapropriately most of the time.
