The Whole School Thought I Farted!

Last year, my class had to go to this assembly that was SOOO boring.
My friends wanted to liven things up, though. So they dared me to sneak a fart machine into the auditorium and set it off when the principal was at the microphone.
Well, I tried to do it, but the thing wouldn't work...except at the worst time possible.
As student council secretary, I had to go up to the podium to give a short speech later on in the assembly. And I completely forgot I still had the stupid fart machine in my pocket.
Anyway, I stood up to the mic and the whole school got quiet.
And THAT's when I heard a loud farting noise!
It echoed throughout the whole auditorium and wouldn't stop! Now, everyone in the entire school thought I farted!
I didn't want to show everyone the fart machine, because I would have gotten in trouble for sneaking it in.
So for the rest of the school year, whenever people saw me in the halls, they made farting sounds. And I was known as Secretary of Gas Policy.

i would have taken out the fart machine so everyone would know it wasn't me. i would rather get in trouble for like a day or 2 then be humiliated the rest of the school year...
