She Coulda Been Bella!
Imagine someone offers you the chance to be a star, have millions of fans, and make out with Robert Pattinson. You're SO there, right?Not so much for one crazy actress.
Emily Browning, who starred in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, was Stephenie Meyer's original choice to play Bella. They asked her to audition (and Meyer's says she was her "favorite choice") but poor girl said she was too tired!
"I'm not the type of person who can just work back-to-back. So I was just exhausted [after she finished filming the horror flick The Uninvited], and I was like, 'I'm sorry, but I just can't sign on to a trilogy right now,'" she told MTV Movie News, ending speculation that she was actually offered the part, but turned it down.
Tired?! Is she crazy? We’re tired every single day because we spend all night laying awake thinking about Edward, but we still manage to find a way to stay up until midnight the next day watching Twilight! (But maybe we've overshared.)
Well, at least we got Kristen Stewart to play Bella. Can't complain there.
But what do you think...
I'm glad it was Kristen. Emily is too... fabulous looking, just naturally. She'd look to done-up and makeup to perfection, glamorous, while being natural. Even naturally, it's too much for a character like shy, laid-back, Bella Swan.

Man Kristen is an okay actor but I mean she's all wrong for Bella. Emily would spice up the part, where Kristen just makes it kinda boring. I like kristen but Emily was like born for the part!!

Dude that girl looks like Bella shes a perfect Bella. Kristen speaks stupidly. Kristen's beautiful and good in other movies but that girl Emily is meant for Bella I've loved her ever since I seen her in Unfourtunate Events!!! Dude shes amazing and don't hate on her because you don't know her!!!! There was probably another reason I bet the tired thing was just an excuse so give her a break and shes beautiful and if you see with more makeup or how she looks in Unfourtunate Events she looks exactly as a Bella should look. Kristen looks to plain in the movie and like I said I love Kristen but shes not cut out for Bella she makes the Bella character seem like a boring person. Emily could totally pull it off.Plus she was already filming a movie at the time. And 4 years to a commitment for one movie series is really hard. But whatevs. TEAM EMILY!

wow i think she wouldve been really good actually i wish we couldve seen like an audition of both Kristen and Emily then compare but i agree with mkrbrox1 Kristen does always speak in monotone IDK y but i dont have a problem with her she just needs to bring it more
