Was Kellan Almost Edward?!
What guy WOULDN'T want to be Edward Cullen? Hmmm... how about Kellan Lutz!
When it came time to audition for the vampire series, Kellan had just one role in mind: muscle-head Emmett!
You can see Kellan explain the whole thing himself, but let us just say this: thank goodness he made that decision — now we get to have both Kellan and Robert Pattinson in one film!

I am glad he's not Edward, while I'm not a huge fan of Rob as edward, I don't think Kellan could have pulled it off. He's too much the frat boy type and I can't see him playing a tortured, sweet, overprotective vampire.
oh i luv him. it would of been cool to see him as edward but i luv seeing him smile as emmett.
